The City of Kingston has been designated as an Heritage Area by the State of New York. This makes it possible for the whole City to celebrate its rich heritage of commerce, transportation and development.
The Heritage Area Commission oversees the application of the Broadway Design Standards and also acts as the City of Kingston Coastal Consistency Review Board for projects that are located within the State Coastal Zone Boundary.
