Kingston Fire Department
The Kingston Fire Department provides fire suppression, rescue, and ambulance service to the residents of the City of Kingston.
The department operates from three stations. Staffed by 69 career personnel, the Fire Department prides itself on a three-minute response to any part of the City. The department is part of the Ulster County 911 system, and all emergency incidents should be reported by dialing 911.
The department responds to approximately 7,200 emergency incidents per year. With with 55 EMTs and 14 paramedics, we have the largest staff of New York Certified Emergency Medical Technicians in the Hudson Valley. We provide ALS, advanced life support service, and all fire apparatus are equipped with cardiac defibrillator.
The department also provides hazardous materials response, high-angle rescue, and confined space rescue throughout Ulster County. Emergency response on the Rondout Creek and Hudson River is provided by Marine Fire Rescue.
The Fire Department provides CPR classes throughout the City. Call 845-481-7311 for a schedule of CPR classes.
