Building Permits
Extended for Length of Stop-Work Order
KINGSTON, NY – Mayor Steven T. Noble and
the City of Kingston Building Department announce that all building permits
that were issued before Governor
Cuomo’s New York State non-essential construction stop-work order will be
extended for the length of the hiatus.
Governor Cuomo’s order for the cease of
all non-essential construction was issued on March 27, 2020 and was lifted May
26, 2020. City of Kingston building permits valid during this time and
considered to be non-essential will have their expiration dates extended by 62
days.
“Permit holders will automatically receive
this 62-day extension and aren’t required to re-apply at this time, but are
welcome to call the Building department if they have any questions,” said
Stephan Knox, Director of Building Safety.
