DPW will be collecting yard waste and debris from the storm. To prepare branches for pick-up, break limbs into to manageable size pieces as best you can. Pile wood near the curb, not in the street, and try to maintain an accessible sidewalk.
DPW will not be removing any branches entangled with wires. Property owners will have to make arrangements to safely remove wires before disposing.
There is no designated day for yard waste pick-up, DPW will make runs as they are able and it could take a couple of weeks to reach every stop. Please note: utility companies will be out trimming trees as needed and they will pick up their own cuttings.
At this time, most city streets are open. A few streets remain closed for utility work, with wires down. DPW may occasionally need to close streets over the coming days for clean-up work.
