Mayor Noble Appoints Tony Davis to Kingston Police Commission
KINGSTON, NY – Mayor Steven T. Noble is pleased to announce the appointment of Tony Davis to the City of Kingston Police Commission.
Tony Davis was a member of the Common Council from 2015 to 2023. During his tenure on the Council, he served as the Chair of the Public Safety and General Government Committee for 6 years. Davis is an 8th grade Social Studies teacher in the Kingston City School District. He holds a BS in Business Management from Springfield College and a MS in Education from the University of New England.
“I am proud to appoint Tony Davis to the Kingston Police Commission,” said Mayor Noble. “Not only is he a compassionate community member, he brings many years of knowledge working closely with members of the community and law enforcement. Tony will be an asset to the Police Commission.”
Tony Davis said, “I thank Mayor Noble for this appointment to the Police Commission. I have been involved in police-community relations for many years and I look forward to continuing to serve my community in this capacity.”
Davis’s term will expire on May 31, 2027.
The next Police Commission meeting will be held on September 27, 2023 at 4:00pm.
