Kingston Fire Department to Hold Annual 9/11 Ceremony
KINGSTON, NY – Mayor Steve Noble and Kingston Fire Department Chief Chris Rea announce the annual 9/11 tribute and ceremony will be held on the morning of Wednesday, September 11, 2024, starting at 8:30am.
The Kingston Fire Department will host a ceremony in Firemen’s Park at the intersection of Washington and Hurley Avenues, gathering at 8:30am and starting the ceremony at 8:46am, marking the exact time the plane struck the first tower. “We continue to honor those who died on September 11, 2001 and their loved ones with a ceremony of remembrance,” said Mayor Noble. “Along with the men and women of the Kingston Fire Department and all of our first responders, we will stand together in tribute.”
From 8:15am to 9:15am on September 11, 2024, the southbound lane of Washington Avenue will be closed to traffic. Parking is available at the Andretta Pool.
