Mayor Noble Announces Additional July Paving and August Paving Project
KINGSTON, NY – Mayor Steven T. Noble and the Superintendent of Public Works are pleased to announce an additional paving project in July will be Albert Street from Condie Street to South Wall Street on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.
Both Condie Street and Albert Street will be closed from the Boulevard to South Wall during this work.
The August paving project will be:
Fairview Avenue from Merilina Avenue to Howland Ave.
Fairview Avenue Extension from Fairview Ave. to End
Stickles Avenue from Fairview Ave. to End
Preparation in this area has already begun. Milling on Fairview Avenue and Stickles Avenue is expected to begin on Monday, August 18, 2025, with paving expected to be completed by Friday, August 22, 2025, weather depending. A road closure is expected, with detours and changes in traffic patterns.
During the milling and paving operation, all vehicles must remain off the street. Once the paving process begins, access/egress will be denied until the blacktop cools enough for normal vehicular traffic, approximately three to five hours. Never move or go around barricades.
Paving on Pine Street, Marius Street, Glen Street, Glen St Extension, and the portion of Greenkill Avenue from Wall Street to Marius Street, will be completed this week.
The next round of paving will be announced in the coming weeks. Paving season is expected to continue through October 2025. For more information on paving projects, please visit https://kingston-ny.gov/paving.
