Public Hearing Announced for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) 2026 Annual Action Plan Draft
KINGSTON, NY – Mayor Steven T. Noble is pleased to announce that the City of Kingston will hold a public hearing for the draft 2026 Annual Action Plan for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The public hearing will be held on April 20, 2026, at 5:00pm in Conference Room #2 at City Hall.
The City of Kingston has drafted its 2026 Annual Action Plan, a one-year planning document which describes the amount of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds expected to be available and the proposed use of those funds for the upcoming program year (July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027).
The City of Kingston has received official notification that the allotment from the Community Development Block Grant Program will be $747,340. Based on the award, the following categories will be funded: Planning & Administration 20% ($149,468); Public Services 15% ($112,101) and Public Facilities/Infrastructure ($485,771).
The 2026 Action Plan reports on the City of Kingston’s proposed administration of these funds in compliance with its Consolidated Plan previously approved by HUD.
