The City of Kingston has been designated as an Heritage Area by the State of New York. This makes it possible for the whole City to celebrate its rich heritage of commerce, transportation and development.

Our principal Visitor Center for Kingston, is located at #20 Broadway, in the Historic Rondout Waterfront area. Hours of operation are  May - October, Mon - Fri 9am-5pm, and Saturday and Sunday 11 am - 5pm (seasonal).

The center has a standing exhibit about the history of Kingston and special exhibits throughout the year showcasing particular aspects about the community. Staff and volunteers at the center look forward to answering questions about the history of Kingston and providing information about the many special attractions and events that the City of Kingston has to offer. Public restroom facilities are located within the Visitors Center.

For additional information concerning the Visitor Centers, or for a tourist packet, please call 1-800-331-1518 or 1-800-342-5826 (UC Tourism) 845-340-3566 or e-mail for information.
