Public Hearing Announced for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) 2025 Annual Action Plan
KINGSTON, NY – Mayor Steven T. Noble is pleased to announce that the City of Kingston will hold a public hearing for the 2025 Annual Action Plan for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The public hearing will be held on May 22, 2025, at 5:00pm in Conference Room #1, City Hall.
The City of Kingston has drafted its 2025 Annual Action Plan, a one-year planning document that describes the amount of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds expected to be available and the proposed use of those funds for the upcoming program year (July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026).
The City of Kingston is expected to receive $712,928.00 in Community Development Block Grant Program funds. Based on the award and per HUD guidelines, the following categories will be funded: Planning & Administration $142,585.60; Public Services $103,200.00; and Public Facilities/Infrastructure $467,142.40.
The 2025 Action Plan reports on the City of Kingston’s proposed administration of these funds in compliance with its Consolidated Plan previously approved by HUD.
